AFCON 2027 Kenya packages: frequently asked questions

When is AFCON 2027?

AFCON 2027 is scheduled for 19 June to 17 July 2027, with Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania as co-hosts. Check official announcements for the latest fixtures, venues and arrangements before you finalise travel.

Will all AFCON 2027 matches take place in Kenya?

No. The tournament is planned across the three host countries: Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Nairobi venues being prepared include the new 60,000-seat Talanta Stadium on Ngong Road and the Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani, but CAF had not published the final match allocation as of November 2026. We design your itinerary around the venue of your match and the time you have.

Are AFCON match tickets included in your packages?

No. Match tickets are not included in our holiday packages unless expressly confirmed through an authorised arrangement, and we do not guarantee ticket access or availability. Tickets should be bought through official channels.

Can I book a Kenya safari without match tickets?

Yes. You can request a safari and beach holiday around your preferred dates even if you do not plan to attend a match.

Can I combine AFCON 2027 with a Maasai Mara safari?

Yes. All three of our AFCON 2027 packages include the Maasai Mara, and any tailor-made itinerary can include it, subject to your dates, accommodation availability and transport schedules. The tournament falls in Kenya's long dry season, and the Great Migration usually starts arriving in the Mara from about mid-July.

Is June or July a good time for a safari in Kenya?

Yes. Late June to October is Kenya's long dry season and the classic safari season: the grass is shorter, animals gather near water and wildlife is easier to find. Note that the Maasai Mara reserve fee for non-residents rises from $100 to $200 per adult per day on 1 July, so Mara days in late June cost less in park fees.

Can I add Diani Beach to my AFCON trip?

Yes. Diani Beach is a popular way to relax on the Kenyan coast after a safari. Other coastal destinations, such as Mombasa, Watamu or Lamu, can also be considered depending on your interests and flights.

Do I need a visa to travel to Kenya for AFCON 2027?

Most visitors need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA), applied for online before travel, plus a passport valid for at least six months. Citizens of East African Community countries and most African countries are exempt. Rules change, so check the official eTA website before you travel; our Kenya entry requirements guide explains the current process.

Are domestic flights included?

Domestic flights are included where they are specified in your confirmed itinerary. Routes, baggage allowances, schedules and availability are checked before booking. Safari flights usually have a soft-bag limit of about 15 kg.

Do you offer luxury AFCON packages?

Yes. Our VIP AFCON Safari & Coast Escape includes premium accommodation, private transfers, a luxury Maasai Mara camp or lodge, Tsavo and a selected coastal resort, all subject to availability.

Can you arrange a trip for a supporters' group?

Yes. We prepare group proposals based on your group size, travel dates, accommodation requirements, rooming arrangements and preferred destinations.

What is included in an AFCON holiday package?

Inclusions vary by itinerary. Your written proposal specifies the accommodation, meals, transfers, domestic flights, safari activities, park fees and any excursions included. International flights, match tickets, travel insurance, visa or entry charges and optional activities are excluded unless specifically stated.

How much does an AFCON 2027 safari package cost?

Every AFCON 2027 package is tailor-made, so we quote after you tell us your dates, group size and accommodation level. Send an enquiry and we will reply with a written proposal; there is no obligation.

When should I enquire?

As early as possible. AFCON 2027 overlaps with Kenya's peak safari season, and the most popular camps can fill 9 to 12 months ahead. All bookings remain subject to supplier availability, written confirmation and the applicable payment terms.
