This document is being finalised with our advocate and may change. Items shown [in brackets] are still being confirmed. Your written quote sets out the terms that apply to your booking. Questions? Email info@creekstours.com.
1. Traveller responsibility
1.1 Each Traveller is responsible for checking and meeting passport, immigration, transit, vaccination, health, insurance, customs and consent requirements for their nationality, residence, age, health, route and travel dates. Rules change without notice and border authorities make the final decision.
1.2 We provide general assistance, not immigration, medical or insurance advice. Confirm requirements with official authorities, your clinician and insurer before payment and again shortly before travel. Loss caused by missing or invalid documents remains your responsibility unless our negligent written advice directly caused it and applicable law makes us liable.
2. Mandatory insurance
2.1 From Booking until return, maintain comprehensive insurance covering cancellation and curtailment, all booked activities, overseas medical treatment, emergency evacuation and repatriation, personal accident, baggage, travel delay and personal liability. Coverage limits must be realistic for remote air or road evacuation.
2.2 Disclose existing conditions and planned activities to the insurer. Standard policies may exclude altitude, trekking, rafting, diving, ballooning, motorcycles, epidemics, unrest or government advisories. Carry the policy and emergency-assistance contact.
2.3 Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar impose designated inbound-insurance requirements on many foreign visitors in addition to ordinary comprehensive cover. As at 17 October 2026, the official notices state that the first point of entry determines the designated provider, coverage may run up to 92 days, and qualifying exemptions differ. Check https://inbound.nicinsurance.co.tz for a Mainland first entry and https://inbound.visitzanzibar.go.tz for a Zanzibar first entry. Do not assume a private policy replaces mandatory inbound cover.
3. Health
3.1 Consult a qualified travel-health professional early about malaria prevention, yellow fever, routine immunisations, food and water precautions, altitude, heat, sun, insect bites and activity fitness. Carry adequate prescribed medicine in original packaging and any required letter.
3.2 Yellow-fever certificate requirements depend on itinerary, origin, transit duration, age and current public-health rules. Tanzania’s official guidance requires a certificate for travellers arriving from a yellow-fever-risk country, including certain long transits. Uganda announced on 2 October 2026 that a yellow-fever certificate was no longer mandatory for entry, but health recommendations and airline or onward-country rules may differ. Kenya and Rwanda may require evidence based on origin or outbreak rules. Verify every border before departure.
3.3 Tell us confidentially about dietary, mobility, sensory, cognitive or health needs relevant to safe delivery. We will make reasonable efforts but remote facilities and vehicles may not be accessible. Never rely on a verbal assurance; obtain confirmed arrangements in the Quote.
4. Passports and country entry
4.1 Carry a passport valid for the period required by each authority, commonly at least six months beyond entry, with enough blank pages, return/onward evidence and any proof of funds, accommodation or parental consent requested. The following is a general guide, not a guarantee:
| Destination | General position at 17 October 2026 | Official check |
|---|---|---|
| Kenya | Most non-exempt foreign visitors require an approved electronic travel authorisation before travel; exemptions depend on nationality/status | https://etakenya.go.ke |
| Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar | Visa need depends on nationality; the official eVisa covers Mainland and Zanzibar. Online application is recommended; some nationals require referral approval. Passports generally need six months’ validity and a blank page | https://visa.immigration.go.tz |
| Rwanda | All nationalities may seek visa on arrival under the published regime, but fees/exemptions vary. Travel documents generally require at least six months’ validity | https://www.migration.gov.rw |
| Uganda | Travellers who are not exempt should use the official online visa process and travel with approval and a passport generally valid at least six months | https://www.visas.immigration.go.ug |
4.2 The East Africa Tourist Visa covers tourism travel within Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda, not Tanzania or Zanzibar. It is generally issued by the country of first entry and is described as valid for 90 days with multiple movement inside the three-country bloc. Leaving the bloc may end its utility. Check eligibility and current procedure with the first-entry authority.
4.3 Each child needs the documents required by each country and carrier. A child travelling without both parents may need birth, custody and notarised consent documents. The Lead Traveller must check all transit-country rules even if not leaving the airport.
5. Permits and restricted activities
5.1 Gorilla, chimpanzee, park, diving, filming and other permits are limited, personal, date-specific and often non-refundable. Names and passport details must match. Creeks Tours does not guarantee a permit until confirmed and paid.
5.2 Minimum ages and fitness rules are set by authorities and Suppliers. Gorilla tracking is generally restricted to persons aged 15 or older in Uganda and Rwanda. Chimp tracking, diving, ballooning, rafting, hiking and other activities have operator- and location-specific limits; the Quote must confirm the current limit rather than relying on a general website minimum age.
5.3 Drones, professional filming and certain communications equipment may need advance civil-aviation, wildlife, defence, park and local permissions. Unauthorised equipment may be refused, detained or confiscated.
6. Failure to comply
6.1 We may refuse or stop participation where documents, insurance or fitness do not meet a lawful safety or Supplier requirement. Cancellation terms apply, subject to mandatory law. We will reasonably assist with alternatives at your cost.
